March “Tips From Tats” – Sustainable CSR

Corporate Social Responsibility – or CSR – is more than just a buzzword. It is a business practice that incorporates sustainable development into a company’s business model, encouraging businesses to have a positive impact on social, economic and environmental factors.

Here are some tips to consider to incorporate Sustainable CSR into your next event:

  • Have clearly marked recycling bins located near trash bins.

  • Provide convenient drop-off points for all unwanted handouts and accessories (like plastic name badge holders).

  • Use electronic communications when possible rather than printing.

  • Use cloth napkins or napkins made of 80% or more recycled materials.

  • Provide water stations vs water bottles.

  • Use locally sourced food and products from local farmers and businesses.
