December SPOTLIGHT on Entertainment

Updated: Dec 21, 2018

There is a wide variety of entertainment here within the islands, from local artisans crafting wares such as colorful scarfs, hats woven from the leaves of the hala tree, soap and candles from local honey bees, to interactive elements like jugglers, stilt walkers, slight of hand magicians, tattooists, hair braiders, and body painting, to local bands.

Each island hosts a myriad of entertainers from fire dancers, solo guitarists, ukulele players, to full bands playing everything from Hawaiian, Country, Reggae, Classic Rock, Jazz, and so much more.

Some long time band favorites are Jimmy Mac from Maui, Full Circle from Hawaiʻi Island, Green Stone from Kauaʻi, and Paradise & Company from Oʻahu.

Hawaiʻi also has award-winning artists such as Henry Kapono, Amy Hānaialiʻi Gilliom, and Willie K.
